Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Mark Edward Fultz is a seasoned national security and intelligence strategist with over 30 years of leadership experience across the U.S. Department of Defense, Joint Staff, U.S. European Command (EUCOM), and U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). A recognized thought leader in intelligence modernization, great power competition, and interagency coordination, Mr. Fultz has authored foundational strategic guidance, such as the Joint Concept for Information Advantage (JCIA), and led the design of innovative organizational constructs to counter adversaries across the competition continuum.
His career has spanned operational theaters from Iraq to Europe during crisis, with a unique ability to translate tactical insights into strategic policy, and to align intelligence capabilities with national defense priorities. He has advised senior defense leaders, including the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, on future force design, emerging technologies, and policy reform. With deep experience in capability development, crisis planning, and defense governance, he is well-positioned to contribute to cutting-edge insights into the future of defense innovation and data orchestration. Chief Research Officer
Ivan is a computer scientist and engineer with 15+ years of research and development experience in autonomy, air and space systems, and artificial intelligence. His mission is to seek computational craftsmanship—the virtuous combination of mathematical insight, computing, and experimentation that expands to elegant solutions of engineering problems.
He has a PhD from Caltech, and BS and MS degrees from Stanford University. He is a recipient of the NDSEG Fellowship, a member of IEEE, and the founder of Subgradient. Ivan brings deep technical expertise to Gordias Nexus's research initiatives and strategic technology development.
